# WIS vs Wordy

The clearest difference is ads: WIS at none against Wordy's shown. Wordy's advantage is review sentiment (86% vs 59%) and rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WIS sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Wordy sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Wordy holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wordy has 2.3K ratings behind it against 277, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 59% of WIS's written reviews are positive against 86% of Wordy's.

WIS ships an update every 3 weeks, Wordy every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
