# Own Boss vs PAC Auctions

The clearest difference is ads: PAC Auctions at none against Own Boss's shown. PAC Auctions also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Own Boss's advantage is ratings volume (5.8K vs 1) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Own Boss against 5.0 for PAC Auctions. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Own Boss has 5.8K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Own Boss ships an update every 3 weeks, PAC Auctions every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
