# Wand vs Lexy PDF Viewer

The clearest difference is monetization model: Wand at free with in-app purchases against Lexy PDF Viewer's subscription. Wand also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (2.7K vs 197). Lexy PDF Viewer's advantage is review sentiment (68% vs 48%) and chart position (#187 vs unranked). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Wand sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Lexy PDF Viewer sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $12.90 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Wand holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wand has 2.7K ratings behind it against 197, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 48% of Wand's written reviews are positive against 68% of Lexy PDF Viewer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Wand ships an update every 10 days, Lexy PDF Viewer every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
