# Wand vs Lab.zip

The clearest difference is rating: Wand at 4.7 against Lab.zip's 4.3. Wand also leads on ratings volume (2.7K vs 4). Lab.zip's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 48%) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Wand sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Lab.zip sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $8.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Wand holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wand has 2.7K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 48% of Wand's written reviews are positive against 67% of Lab.zip's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Wand ships an update every 10 days, Lab.zip fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
