# Trace Baseball vs CoachView Slowmo Video Player

The clearest difference is monetization model: CoachView Slowmo Video Player at free with in-app purchases against Trace Baseball's subscription. CoachView Slowmo Video Player also leads on ratings volume (611 vs 2). Trace Baseball's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Trace Baseball sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and CoachView Slowmo Video Player sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Trace Baseball holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CoachView Slowmo Video Player has 611 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Trace Baseball ships an update every 3 weeks, CoachView Slowmo Video Player every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
