# Solid vs 101 before one

Solid and 101 before one both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 89% of 101 before one's written reviews are positive against 11% of Solid's. 101 before one also leads on chart position (#56 vs unranked). Solid's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs weekly) and monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs paid). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Solid sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month and 101 before one sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Solid holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 104 and 95 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 11% of Solid's written reviews are positive against 89% of 101 before one's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Solid ships an update every 2 days, 101 before one weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
