# Moonovel vs TalePicks

The clearest difference is rating: TalePicks at 5.0 against Moonovel's 4.4. TalePicks also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 2 months). Moonovel's advantage is ratings volume (27 vs 2) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Moonovel sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and TalePicks sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TalePicks holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Moonovel has 27 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 92% of Moonovel's written reviews are positive against 100% of TalePicks's.

Moonovel ships an update every 2 months, TalePicks every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
