Fish Farm Tracker App is an innovative digital solution for general fish farm records keeping, production management, basic fish health and water quality monitoring, business and economic management, real-time online fish marketing, farmer - to - farmer, and farmer - to - client chat platform and extension support service to fish farmers. The App was developed by the Tilapia Seed (TiSeed) Project core team, comprising CSIR-Water Research Institute (Ghana), International Food Policy Research Institute (USA & Ghana) and the Fisheries Commission (Ghana), with financial support by the Netherlands – CGIAR Research Programme. The App was developed in response to addressing teething fish farming management challenges faced by small and medium scale pond and cage fish farmers in Ghana. It is also expected to help improve collation of reliable fish production data from small and medium scale fish farms for national aquaculture planning and development. The App may also be modified for use in West African sub-region and other jurisdictions for effective fish farm management towards accelerated and sustainable regional aquaculture development.
