# Sudden Rewards vs Edley’s BBQ

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Edley’s BBQ at 80% against Sudden Rewards's 30%. Edley’s BBQ also leads on update cadence (every 3 months vs every 8 months). Sudden Rewards's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (67 vs 8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Sudden Rewards holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sudden Rewards has 67 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 30% of Sudden Rewards's written reviews are positive against 80% of Edley’s BBQ's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Sudden Rewards ships an update every 8 months, Edley’s BBQ every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
