# FormNote vs Dino

The clearest difference is ads: Dino at none against FormNote's shown. FormNote's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs monthly) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FormNote sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Dino sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FormNote ships an update every 9 days, Dino monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
