# MixCam vs Parallel Camera

The clearest difference is rating: MixCam at 4.6 against Parallel Camera's 4.0. MixCam also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2) and ratings volume (1.3K vs 7). Parallel Camera's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 15 months). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Parallel Camera sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. MixCam asks for nothing beyond the download.

MixCam holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MixCam has 1.3K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 48% of MixCam's written reviews are positive against 33% of Parallel Camera's.
