# Monster Dispatch vs Sword Defense

The clearest difference is rating: Sword Defense at 5.0 against Monster Dispatch's 4.0. Monster Dispatch's advantage is review sentiment (25% vs 3%) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Monster Dispatch sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Sword Defense sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sword Defense holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 1 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of Monster Dispatch's written reviews are positive against 3% of Sword Defense's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Monster Dispatch ships an update every 2 weeks, Sword Defense every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
