# Microsoft Loop vs DocuWare

The clearest difference is review sentiment: DocuWare at 100% against Microsoft Loop's 21%. DocuWare also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4). Microsoft Loop's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 3.0) and ratings volume (4.9K vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Microsoft Loop sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. DocuWare asks for nothing beyond the download.

Microsoft Loop holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Microsoft Loop has 4.9K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 21% of Microsoft Loop's written reviews are positive against 100% of DocuWare's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Microsoft Loop ships an update monthly, DocuWare every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
