# Microsoft Loop vs Tend+

Microsoft Loop and Tend+ both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 83% of Tend+'s written reviews are positive against 21% of Microsoft Loop's. Tend+ also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). Microsoft Loop's advantage is ratings volume (4.9K vs 9). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Microsoft Loop sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Tend+ sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Microsoft Loop against 4.6 for Tend+. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Microsoft Loop has 4.9K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 21% of Microsoft Loop's written reviews are positive against 83% of Tend+'s.

Microsoft Loop ships an update monthly, Tend+ fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
