# Microsoft Loop vs Tallyday

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Tallyday at 100% against Microsoft Loop's 21%. Tallyday also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Microsoft Loop's advantage is ratings volume (4.9K vs 4) and iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Microsoft Loop sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Tallyday sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tallyday holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Microsoft Loop has 4.9K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 21% of Microsoft Loop's written reviews are positive against 100% of Tallyday's.

Microsoft Loop ships an update monthly, Tallyday weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
