# Notchify vs Island Widgets

The clearest difference is update cadence: Island Widgets at every 4 days against Notchify's every 6 weeks. Island Widgets also leads on ratings volume (184 vs 11) and iOS requirement (16.2 vs 18.0). Notchify's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 4.0) and review sentiment (75% vs 59%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notchify sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Island Widgets sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Notchify holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Island Widgets has 184 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 75% of Notchify's written reviews are positive against 59% of Island Widgets's.

Notchify ships an update every 6 weeks, Island Widgets every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
