# GO2TRain vs Techwich

The clearest difference is monetization model: Techwich at free with in-app purchases against GO2TRain's subscription. Techwich also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs monthly). GO2TRain's advantage is ratings volume (1.3K vs 3) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GO2TRain sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Techwich sells 9 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for GO2TRain against 5.0 for Techwich. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GO2TRain has 1.3K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

GO2TRain ships an update monthly, Techwich every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
