# GO2TRain vs HayTalk

The clearest difference is monetization model: HayTalk at free against GO2TRain's freemium. HayTalk also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). GO2TRain's advantage is ratings volume (1.3K vs 3). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GO2TRain sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and HayTalk sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for GO2TRain against 5.0 for HayTalk. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GO2TRain has 1.3K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

GO2TRain ships an update monthly, HayTalk fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
