# Súp Vietnamese vs The French Workshop

The clearest difference is rating: The French Workshop at 4.9 against Súp Vietnamese's 4.2. The French Workshop also leads on ratings volume (1.4K vs 6) and update cadence (every 7 months vs every 32 months). Súp Vietnamese's advantage is monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (100% vs 89%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

The French Workshop holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The French Workshop has 1.4K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Súp Vietnamese's written reviews are positive against 89% of The French Workshop's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Súp Vietnamese ships an update every 32 months, The French Workshop every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
