# Mindgrasp vs KnowNotes

The clearest difference is monetization model: KnowNotes at free with in-app purchases against Mindgrasp's subscription. KnowNotes also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (13.4 vs 17.0). Mindgrasp's advantage is review sentiment (31% vs 0%) and ratings volume (1.1K vs 13). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mindgrasp sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and KnowNotes sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mindgrasp holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mindgrasp has 1.1K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 31% of Mindgrasp's written reviews are positive against 0% of KnowNotes's.

Mindgrasp ships an update every 3 weeks, KnowNotes weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
