# Mindgrasp vs Audio Transcription

The clearest difference is rating: Mindgrasp at 4.7 against Audio Transcription's 2.6. Mindgrasp also leads on ratings volume (1.1K vs 5) and iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). Audio Transcription's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mindgrasp sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and Audio Transcription sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mindgrasp holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mindgrasp has 1.1K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 31% of Mindgrasp's written reviews are positive against 36% of Audio Transcription's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mindgrasp ships an update every 3 weeks, Audio Transcription fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
