# Mindgrasp vs LectureScribe

The clearest difference is review sentiment: LectureScribe at 100% against Mindgrasp's 31%. LectureScribe also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). Mindgrasp's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.7 vs 4.2). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mindgrasp sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and LectureScribe sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mindgrasp holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mindgrasp has 1.1K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 31% of Mindgrasp's written reviews are positive against 100% of LectureScribe's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mindgrasp ships an update every 3 weeks, LectureScribe every 4 months. Both last shipped on October 20, 2026.
