# Mindgrasp vs Socranotes

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Socranotes at 100% against Mindgrasp's 33%. Socranotes also leads on monetization model (freemium vs subscription) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Mindgrasp's advantage is ratings volume (1K vs 4). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mindgrasp sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and Socranotes sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Socranotes holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mindgrasp has 1K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 33% of Mindgrasp's written reviews are positive against 100% of Socranotes's.

Mindgrasp ships an update every 3 weeks, Socranotes fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and September 21, 2026 respectively.
