# SSH Term vs Termex

The clearest difference is ads: Termex at none against SSH Term's shown. SSH Term's advantage is iOS requirement (16.0 vs 26.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SSH Term sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Termex sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on September 25, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
