# Chptr vs Wait

The clearest difference is update cadence: Chptr at every 2 weeks against Wait's every 6 weeks. Chptr also leads on ratings volume (43 vs 8). Wait's advantage is monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Chptr against 4.5 for Wait. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Chptr has 43 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Chptr ships an update every 2 weeks, Wait every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
