# Chptr vs ClassChase

The clearest difference is rating: ClassChase at 5.0 against Chptr's 4.5. ClassChase also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 11 days). Chptr's advantage is ratings volume (42 vs 4) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ClassChase holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Chptr has 42 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Chptr ships an update every 11 days, ClassChase every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
