# MACtv vs Players Cards

The clearest difference is rating: MACtv at 4.0 against Players Cards's 3.5. MACtv also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.6). Players Cards's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 14 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MACtv holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Players Cards has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

MACtv ships an update every 14 months, Players Cards every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
