# Diary Duck vs My diary

Diary Duck and My diary both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 60% of My diary's written reviews are positive against 33% of Diary Duck's. My diary also leads on ratings volume (2K vs 99). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Diary Duck sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and My diary sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for Diary Duck against 4.5 for My diary. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: My diary has 2K ratings behind it against 99, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 33% of Diary Duck's written reviews are positive against 60% of My diary's.

Diary Duck ships an update weekly, My diary every 9 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
