# reGlot vs Chinese21

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: reGlot at none against Chinese21's 1. Chinese21's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (17.6 vs 26.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Chinese21 sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. reGlot asks for nothing beyond the download.

reGlot ships an update every 3 weeks, Chinese21 weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
