# MyNotes vs Privy

The clearest difference is update cadence: Privy at every 3 weeks against MyNotes's every 3 months. MyNotes's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MyNotes sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $14.99 per year and Privy sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MyNotes ships an update every 3 months, Privy every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 8, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
