# Simma vs Kobin

The clearest difference is rating: Kobin at 5.0 against Simma's 4.2. Kobin also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Simma's advantage is ratings volume (509 vs 3) and update cadence (every 11 days vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Kobin holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Simma has 509 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Simma ships an update every 11 days, Kobin every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
