# Security Reactor vs Rapid Shield VPN

Security Reactor and Rapid Shield VPN both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 64% of Rapid Shield VPN's written reviews are positive against 41% of Security Reactor's. Security Reactor's advantage is ratings volume (910 vs 30). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Security Reactor sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and Rapid Shield VPN sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Security Reactor against 4.3 for Rapid Shield VPN. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Security Reactor has 910 ratings behind it against 30, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 41% of Security Reactor's written reviews are positive against 64% of Rapid Shield VPN's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
