# SoundEcho vs FruitPot 2

The clearest difference is monetization model: SoundEcho at free against FruitPot 2's free with in-app purchases. SoundEcho also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 88%). FruitPot 2's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 5 weeks) and rating (4.5 vs 4.3). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SoundEcho sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and FruitPot 2 sells 14 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FruitPot 2 holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 8 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of SoundEcho's written reviews are positive against 88% of FruitPot 2's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SoundEcho ships an update every 5 weeks, FruitPot 2 weekly. The most recent releases landed on September 25, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
