# Smart STB vs IPTV Smarters Player PRO

The clearest difference is rating: IPTV Smarters Player PRO at 4.6 against Smart STB's 2.7. IPTV Smarters Player PRO also leads on review sentiment (59% vs 17%) and update cadence (weekly vs monthly). Smart STB's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Smart STB sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and IPTV Smarters Player PRO sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

IPTV Smarters Player PRO holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IPTV Smarters Player PRO has 1.4K ratings behind it against 50, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 17% of Smart STB's written reviews are positive against 59% of IPTV Smarters Player PRO's.

Smart STB ships an update monthly, IPTV Smarters Player PRO weekly. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
