# PhotoPeaks vs Eclipse

The clearest difference is update cadence: PhotoPeaks at every 2 days against Eclipse's every 2 weeks. Eclipse's advantage is ratings volume (3 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PhotoPeaks sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Eclipse sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for PhotoPeaks against 5.0 for Eclipse. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 3 respectively.

PhotoPeaks ships an update every 2 days, Eclipse every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
