# TimeWarp vs MagiCam

The clearest difference is ads: TimeWarp at none against MagiCam's shown. TimeWarp also leads on review sentiment (71% vs 57%) and ratings volume (31K vs 6.1K). MagiCam's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TimeWarp sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and MagiCam sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TimeWarp holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TimeWarp has 31K ratings behind it against 6.1K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 71% of TimeWarp's written reviews are positive against 57% of MagiCam's.

TimeWarp ships an update every 3 weeks, MagiCam every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
