# PDF Viewer vs PDFlexor

The clearest difference is ads: PDFlexor at none against PDF Viewer's shown. PDFlexor also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 4 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). PDF Viewer's advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PDF Viewer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and PDFlexor sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PDFlexor holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PDF Viewer has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

PDF Viewer ships an update every 4 months, PDFlexor every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
