# Note Beast vs SmartZman

The clearest difference is update cadence: SmartZman at every 4 days against Note Beast's every 6 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Note Beast sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and SmartZman sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $12.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Note Beast ships an update every 6 weeks, SmartZman every 4 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
