# Stanza Redux vs ReadEra

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Stanza Redux at 100% against ReadEra's 60%. Stanza Redux also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months). ReadEra's advantage is rating (4.2 vs 3.8) and ratings volume (241 vs 4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ReadEra holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ReadEra has 241 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Stanza Redux's written reviews are positive against 60% of ReadEra's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Stanza Redux ships an update every 5 days, ReadEra every 2 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
