# iTranscribe vs DayOS

The clearest difference is ads: DayOS at none against iTranscribe's shown. DayOS also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 weeks). iTranscribe's advantage is ratings volume (6.8K vs 1) and chart position (#149 vs unranked). On price, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iTranscribe sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and DayOS sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DayOS holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iTranscribe has 6.8K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

iTranscribe ships an update every 2 weeks, DayOS every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
