# iTranscribe vs EvalBud

The clearest difference is review sentiment: EvalBud at 100% against iTranscribe's 48%. EvalBud also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). iTranscribe's advantage is ratings volume (6.9K vs 6) and chart position (#159 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iTranscribe sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and EvalBud sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

EvalBud holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iTranscribe has 6.9K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 48% of iTranscribe's written reviews are positive against 100% of EvalBud's.

iTranscribe ships an update every 2 weeks, EvalBud weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
