# Ahead vs Shared Calendar

The clearest difference is ads: Shared Calendar at none against Ahead's shown. Shared Calendar also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.6). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ahead sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per year and Shared Calendar sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
