# Silky Brew vs Espresso Journal

The clearest difference is update cadence: Silky Brew at every 2 months against Espresso Journal's every 5 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Silky Brew sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Espresso Journal sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
