# eratu vs Coread

eratu and Coread both sit at 4.3 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of eratu's written reviews are positive against 0% of Coread's. eratu also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). Coread's advantage is ratings volume (107 vs 8) and iOS requirement (12.4 vs 14.0). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. eratu sells 67 one-off in-app purchases and Coread sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Coread holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Coread has 107 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of eratu's written reviews are positive against 0% of Coread's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

eratu ships an update fortnightly, Coread every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
