# Dot3D vs Spectacular Rec

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Spectacular Rec at none against Dot3D's 2. Spectacular Rec also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Dot3D's advantage is review sentiment (82% vs 50%) and ratings volume (104 vs 1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dot3D sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $49.99 per month. Spectacular Rec asks for nothing beyond the download.

Spectacular Rec holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dot3D has 104 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 82% of Dot3D's written reviews are positive against 50% of Spectacular Rec's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
