# SR vs SlideCam

The clearest difference is update cadence: SlideCam at every 9 days against SR's every 5 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SR sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and SlideCam sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SR ships an update every 5 weeks, SlideCam every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on September 17, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
