# Lock Screen 27 vs DepthWall

The clearest difference is monetization model: Lock Screen 27 at free with in-app purchases against DepthWall's subscription. Lock Screen 27 also leads on ratings volume (7.8K vs 4). DepthWall's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.8 vs 4.5). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lock Screen 27 sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and DepthWall sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DepthWall holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lock Screen 27 has 7.8K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
