# AnyWidget vs Widget Pro

The clearest difference is rating: Widget Pro at 5.0 against AnyWidget's 4.4. Widget Pro also leads on ads (none vs shown). AnyWidget's advantage is review sentiment (38% vs 0%) and ratings volume (98 vs 2). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AnyWidget sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month and Widget Pro sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Widget Pro holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AnyWidget has 98 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 38% of AnyWidget's written reviews are positive against 0% of Widget Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

AnyWidget ships an update every 3 months, Widget Pro every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
