# EBSCO FOLIO Tools vs Shopper

The clearest difference is update cadence: Shopper at every 3 weeks against EBSCO FOLIO Tools's every 2 months. Shopper also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

EBSCO FOLIO Tools ships an update every 2 months, Shopper every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
