# Unscreen vs Sandflow

The clearest difference is rating: Unscreen at 4.3 against Sandflow's 3.5. Unscreen also leads on ratings volume (80 vs 10). Sandflow's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs monthly) and review sentiment (71% vs 55%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Unscreen sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Sandflow sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Unscreen holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Unscreen has 80 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of Unscreen's written reviews are positive against 71% of Sandflow's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Unscreen ships an update monthly, Sandflow every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
